Privacy Policy
Short, because this site currently collects very little.
What is collected
At present this site does not run advertising, does not set analytics cookies, does not operate a newsletter, and does not ask you to create an account. Pages are served as static files. Standard web-server logs may record the usual technical information — IP address, browser type, and the page requested — which is used to operate and secure the site and is not used to build a profile of you.
This page will be updated before any of that changes. If analytics, a newsletter or advertising is introduced, this policy is updated at the same time, not afterwards.
Cookies
No tracking or advertising cookies are set. If a privacy-preserving analytics tool is added later it will be one that does not track individuals across sites and does not require a consent banner; if that ever changes, consent will be requested before anything is set.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links are affiliate links. When you follow one, the destination retailer may set its own cookies and collect its own data under its own privacy policy, which this site does not control. See the affiliate disclosure for how those relationships work.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and, for visitors in the EU or UK, the GDPR, you may request access to any personal information held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Given how little is collected, in most cases the answer will be that nothing identifying you is held. Requests can be made through the contact page.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from them.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the “last updated” date above and, where the change affects what is collected, noted on the site.
