What this site aims for, and where it currently falls short.
The target
This site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a commitment to a measurable standard rather than a general intention to be accessible.
What is in place
- Text colours are contrast-checked against the surfaces they appear on, and the measured ratios are documented rather than assumed. Body text sits at 14.8:1.
- A skip-to-content link is the first thing keyboard users reach.
- Every interactive element has a visible focus outline that is not colour-dependent.
- Navigation and buttons meet the 44×44px target-size guideline.
- Decorative motion is removed for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.
- Links in body text are underlined, so link identity never depends on colour alone.
- Pages are semantic HTML with labelled landmarks, and work without JavaScript.
Known gaps
Stated plainly, because an accessibility statement that claims full conformance is usually wrong:
- The site has not yet been tested end-to-end with a screen reader by a person who uses one daily.
- Automated and manual audits have covered the page shell and entry templates; the full set of entry pages has not been individually reviewed.
- No formal third-party accessibility audit has been carried out.
Reporting a barrier
If something here is difficult or impossible for you to use, that is treated as a defect. Reports are welcome through the contact page and are acted on rather than logged.
