Extracellular Vesicle Technology
Exosomes
One of the most exciting emerging technologies in cosmetic science, but long-term evidence and product standardization are still developing.
Primary benefits
- Supports skin repair
- Improves skin quality
- May improve firmness
- Supports post-procedure recovery
What it does
Exosomes are tiny membrane-bound vesicles naturally released by cells. They carry proteins, lipids, RNA, and signaling molecules involved in cell-to-cell communication. In regenerative medicine they are an active area of research, and in skincare they are being explored for their potential to support skin repair and reduce visible signs of aging. It is important to note that topical cosmetic exosome products are still an emerging category, and not all products marketed as "exosomes" have robust independent clinical evidence.
